I am new to this and was wondering if someone can give me a good start on what I need to buy for a 4x5 foot cnc router build?!?! I have the electronics and frame base but need to figure out the gantry, which I would like to use the C Beam, the linear actuator and the base of the machine for the gantry to run on. Any help would be appreciated greatly !!

What specifically do you have a question about?

I would like to utilize the full 4x5 foot surface if possible and I am looking for what materials I need to build the frame for the gantry to run on using a rack and pinion. I would like to use c beam for the gantry because of the weight of the NEMA 34 stepper and the 2.2 kw spindle. And the linear actuator I believe I can get as a bundle but not sure what length I should go with.

C-beam of the length desired won't properly support a 2.2kw spindle and nema 34 steppers have no place on a hobby grade system. Based on the area you are trying to cover if you need either of these you need to be looking at a proper system.

I didn’t realize the c beam wouldn’t support that kind of weight properly. I also wasn’t really sure of the exact size of steppers I needed. I apparently went a bit too large on the electronics! Thank you for your input, I guess it is time to re-evaluate what I am gonna do!
