Are the cross member wood or metal?
Going to use belt or screws?
    Love it

Cross members will be steel 1/4"

    going to run screws.

A tad worried about the flex on the gantry. it will be made out of 3/8" aluminum but am anchoring it like the Anet A8 3d printer so I am a tad worried working on some other thoughts.

Why not use stainless steel instead of 3/8" aluminum for strength and rigidness? ( I am new and lots to learn hope this question is not out of line.)
