Scanner for ultrasonic plate testing.

Dear Friends,
Myself Rahul Pathare from India, I want to develop one scanner fro ultrasonic testing.
Project: Inspection of steel plates through Ultrasonic flaw detector with Automatic Scanning.
Scanner Size: 500 mm X 500 mm work space
This scanner has to move in X 0 to 500 mm in one step (Speed 100 mm/second) & Y Direction has to move only 10 mm or 20 mm in one step.

X Direction Scanning

Start 0 -----------------------O----->------------------- 500 Stop

20 mm Travel in Y direction

Stop 0 -----------<------------O------------------------- 500 Start

Scanning operation automatic Start & Stop operations by manually.
This scanner required Probe holder which capable to hold 10 mm diameter to 26 mm diameter probe with weight approx 200 gm.

I want to build one Scanner for Ultrasonic Testing of Steel plates which can work by remote.
In ultrasonic testing we are using transducer for detection the flaws in plates.
In this testing we need to scan 100% plate surface which is approx 2.5 meter wide & 6 to 12 meter long, & Manually it's very tadius task.
also this work is not in workshop we have to go different different locations.
Hence I am wish to get one scanner which scan the plate with holding transducer in X & Y direction & technician handle this scanner with remote.
Its similar to draw a rows on paper
In X direction we want 500 or 1000 mm travel distance in one scan
Because of limitation of Transducer diameter we are able to scan only 20 mm area in one scan.
hence in Y direction we have move for only 20 mm again X direction with distance of 500 or 1000 mm.
(Our Scanning speed is limited to 100 to 150 mm per second).
