I imported a DWG into sketchup using the Simlab plugin but I am unable to edit the drawing. (btw, I'm quite new using cad software). The drawing appears to import as a single entity and if I try to select any part of the drawing the entire drawing is selected. The original drawing was exported from Draftsight with a 2013 dwg format. Anyone have any ideas? It is a complicated 2d drawing and I am trying to save a little time here. I need to get it into sketchucam.

It is possible that the drawing you've imported into SkerchUp is 'group'. If it is than you have to either right click and chose 'explode' or right click on it and chose 'edit group'. If you explode it you will be able to edit the drawing at will were as if you don't explode it you'll have to right click every time.

You can also double click on the drawing to enter the 'edit group'.
