    Hello all,

What a nice forum for people with an interest in CNC, specifically in OpenBuilds machines and parts.

I have a question, which I hope somebody will kindly answer.

I know OpenBuilds makes two different part families: C-Beam parts and V-Slot parts, but is the C-Beam Gantry Plate Double Wide compatible with the V-Slot Linear Rail? And if so, what is the widest V-Slot Linear Rail the C-Beam Gantry Plate Double Wide can run on?

    Thank you in advance!

    Guelillos

Sorry, no. The double wide gantry plate uses inset wheels that ride in the interior channels between the legs of the C-beam. There is no provision for the wheels to grab the outer edges of a V-slot section.

Thank you, Rick, for your fast answer. It does not matter, really.

I will then be using the V-Slot Gantry Set with the Universal plate and the Xtreme Solid V Wheels. A very nice set.

C-Beam Gantry Plate can run on the outside of v-slot 40x when using large wheels in the corner holes and not the small wheels in the inset holes.
