Having a difficult time choosing what controller to choose,

Think i will use ethernet smoothstepper, but what to connect it to...
I have found three solutions that i like.
    Geckodrive G540
    PMDX-126
    Leadshine MX4660

The MX4660 and G540 have the drivers builtin with the MX allowing for higher amp should i need that down the road and more i/0 ports with out having to connect more BoB to the ESS

Pmdx-126 is nice that you can connect the ESS directly to it with no aditonal power, but it needs external stepper drivers. This is maybe positive if one driver breaks as it is easy to change

    Any suggestions?

4660 and the 540 have built in control boards. Their drivers can be replaced if something goes bad. Both have great support. The 4660 is more technical to hook up. Can't speak for the pmdx.

Can any one tell me where would be the best place to mount the steper drivers.

    1. Close to the motor
    2. Close to the controller
    3. Doesn't matter
