Continuing to set up the new CNC machine The program stops performing the task at random locations. No errors in the log. The spindle continues to run at the same time. The program cannot be paused, but can be interrupted by pressing Stop. The spindle stops. OpenBuilds Control does not hang. When I press Run, the program starts from the beginning. The coordinates are not lost
The startup message indicates the controller rebooted. Usually caused by wiring shorts (shorting V+ to GND for example, voltage rail drops too low, microcontroller reboots) but could also be EMI: docs:blackbox-x32:faq-emi [OpenBuilds Documentation]
I see a lot of low voltage cabling right past a noisy (electomagnetic radiation wise) VFD VFDs also need good shielded cable, proper earthing etc. They can cause more EMI issue than the other issues they "solve"
I don't claim perfect cabling, but stopping are gone. I ran shielded power cables, installed an EMI filter, and separated the cabling. Thanks for your patience!
