GOT MY MACHINE ALL SET UP, MADE SURE EVERYTHING WAS SQUARE. DID A REALLY SMALL PROJECT TO TEST THE MACHINE AND EVERYTHING WENT WELL. STARTED ANOTHER SMALL PROJECT AND MY Y AXIS WAS OVER 3 INCHES OUT OF SQUARE. RESQUARED EVERYTHING AGAIN AND SLOWED MY JOG SPEED DOWN, STILL WAS UN-SQUARE. ADJUSTED THE BLACK BOX X32 AND RAN THE PROJECT AGAIN WITH THE SLOWER JOG SPEED, STILL UN-SQUARE. NOT SURE WHAT ELSE I CAN DO TO MAKE IT CUT RIGHT. I HAVE HAD THIS MACHINE FOR 1 MONTH NOW, 3 WEEKS I WAS OUT OF TOWN FOR AND ALREADY REPLACED THE BLACK BOX ONCE. I AM JUST ABOUT READY TO SEND THE MACHINE BACK

Do you have a short/loose wire in one of your Y axis motors? Shorts will cause the motor to not keep up and shorts it the wiring can also damage the Blackbox.

I DONT KNOW HOW I WOULD HAVE A SHORT IN IT SEEINGS ITS BRAND NEW. ALL THE WIRES ARE TIGHT, I CHECKED IT THE LAST TIME I HAD THIS PROBLEM

Sometimes if the wires are not put into the connectors properly, they can make an intermittent contact. Sometimes the screw holding them in can tighten on the insulation. It happens. Many people have had a similar problem, and when asked to check their wiring, found they put one end in improperly, or a there was a strand of wire sticking out and touching another wire. I am only suggesting this may be a possibility because the symptoms you are experiencing lead me to believe it may be a wiring issue.

Another potential thing to check is if the wheels were overtightened on the side that is lagging. If the eccentrics are over tightened, it can lead to more drag and missed steps.

If you think it is the BlackBox, swap the Y motor wiring harnesses around and see if the other side gets out of square.

Jog speed only applies to, well, Jogging :) (not to toolpaths, rapids, etc)
If your Max Rate in Grbl Settings is too high causing stalls, that is where you should adjust it.

Also check grubscrews on shaft couplers, slipping couplers often look like stalls.

HOW DO I GO ABOUT RETURNING THIS PRODUCT? I AM ALL FOR TROUBLESHOOTING BUT THIS HAS CONSUMED SEVERAL DAYS WORTH OF TIME AND I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT AND EXPECTED MORE?

This procedure allows you to locate the fault. Inside the wires is unlikely on a new machine. Wires can break inside over time from strain and wear and tear. But on a new machine, more likely a loose terminal, pinched insulation, swopped order, etc.

We are waiting on your feedback. Step back a moment, perhaps, as one needs a calm mindset sometimes.

When you are ready, see earlier advice: check your Max Rate and check wiring. Also check the Grubscrews on the Shaft couplers. Video doesn't show it going skew as reported though, so also double check, we can only offer advice according to what you report.

THE MACHINE IS ACTING ALL KINDS OF WEIRD. ITS NOT STAYING SQUARE, ITS NOT CUTTING THE SAME LINE AS THE DESIGN IS INTENDED TO DO BUT IT PREVIOUSLY DID. I AM NOT GOOD WITH A VOLTAGE METER TO KNOW IF ITS WORKING RIGHT OR NOT. I AM TRULY AT A LOSS. I AM VERY FRUSTRATED BECAUSE I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO BUILDING SOME THINGS WITH IT AND IT JUST AINT WORKING OUT. ARE YOU A OPENBUILDS EMPLOYEE OR JUST TRYING TO HELP ME? IF YOU ARE JUST TRYING TO HELP ME, THANK YOU

Only one of the three possible causes and things we need you to check requires an (optional) multimeter, so you could still tackle those. Either they're the cause or we eliminate them, but until you do, we aren't making any progress. Take just 10 minutes and we can check off two or three of the possibilities...

    - check the grubscrews on the shaft couplers. Slipping on motor or leadscrew side can cause what you see. Not tightening them enough (or forgetting to tighten them) is the possibility there (estimated completion time <5min)

    - check that you did load the machine profile from Grbl Settings tab - its shown as a step in the wiring and software video. Did you do it? Did you remember to Save? Might as well apply it again to be sure (estimated completion time <2min).

    - check current adjustment. Factory default is good starting point, but if you did do any adjustments, it could be worse. (estimated completion time <2min).

    - if that doesn't solve the Y axis slipping it could still be wiring, but in your first post you mention

That implies ONE of the Y motors was losing position
But later in the video, we see the incorrect lines perfectly parallel indicating both are losing position
One would most likely be wiring, both points more at machine profile or current adjustment

    Another point you made

So, what EXACTLY did you adjust? Current settings? If its set too low, you are under powering the motors. Set it correctly if you did turn them down.

    Perhaps the history points to
    1) single motor issue (wiring, mechanical)
    2) made things worse by turning down current
    3) now both motors are underpowered, thus why they both lose position?
Just a theory, but run over your memories on that one

For the machine to be accurate, it needs
    - you to have built it right. Square, well adjusted, trammed, nothing loose, etc
    - current setting set correctly - factory default is usually good for most machines.
    - wiring done without mistakes (loose terminals, crossed wiring, insulation pinched or insulation stripped too far back causing shorts etc are typical assembly mistakes to check yourself for)
    - machine profile loaded (shown in the instruction video, make sure you remembered to apply it)

Tick em off one by one and it should sort it out

Oh and as for Multimeter skills, the linked Troubleshooting guide is detailed enough you should be fine, but if not, call over a neighbour or a friend

    THIS MORNING I HAVE

    1) DOUBLE CHECKED THE GRUB SCREWS, I TOOK THE MOTORS OFF AND MADE SURE THEY WERE NOT OVER TIGHTENED AND THE FLAT PART ON THE MOTOR WAS CORRECTLY POSITIONED. I DID THIS FOR BOTH MOTORS
    2) MADE SURE THE MACHINE WAS SQUARE.
    3) MADE SURE ALL THE BOLTS WERE TIGHT
    4) RESET GRBL SETTING TO FACTORY

I TRIED TO RE-HOME THE MACHINE AND IT IS STUCK IN THAT POSITION. I HAVE TRIED TO MOVE THE MACHINE MANUALLY AND IT SHOWS ON OPENBUILDS THAT ITS MOVING BUT THE MACHINE IS NOT.

    WHAT IS MY NEXT STEP

Don't forget to select your machine from Grbl Settings > Select machine from the list > save and Reset

Deleting all settings is the opposite of what you had to do. Now it has no idea what machine you have, thus cannot do anything
Tell it which machine you have as described above
