I can't seem to get the full travel of the Cbeam Y axis. My spoil board is a 255mm (X) by 300mm (Y) MDF. However, I cannot seem to be able to have the router travel the entire 300mm. At present, I can safely get about 235mm of travel before the plate hits the end stops of the Y axis cbeam. What is the best approach to resolving? Will raising the Bed using washers or spacers help? Will it result in less rigidity? What the general solution to that? Or is my setup off somewhere? Thanks.
Best solution is a 1/4” filler plate same size as the build plate between the spoil board and the build plate. This should raise the spoil board just enough to miss hitting the end plates. Filler can be any material but plywood is generally easiest.
The fix was actually pretty simple. Had to rotate the board. Been staring at the problem for too long and the solution was staring right at me.
