Its giving you a link to troubleshoot. I would look take a look at it. Especially section 6.3.1. It could be that since you move the switch that you've shorted it.

do you mean it could have shorted out the blackbox ?
I did check the wiring at the limit switch but could not see a problem

In that case, it likely did cause a short. Too late to say it now, sorry, but I'll post it here hoping it helps someone after you, never work on wiring and associated components with power on.

The presence of power means you could have had an incident where the metal pins touched the metal frame / etc while moving it around or fastening it to the frame, shorting V+ to GND. Doing so most likely did cause permanent damage.

I can try and offer an alternative to a complete BlackBox, if you ask http://support.openbuilds.com/support/home they may be able to sell you just the Brains board.
Before you contact them though, disconnect the USB cable, turn on power, and just see which LEDs light up - if only the Power LED lights up, the short also damaged the Muscle board, but if all the LEDs light up as normal, you only need a Brains board

    problem fixed !!!
Peter was correct, I must have created a short, and my lesson learnt " shut off power when adjusting limit switch positions". The parts dept. sent me a new brain board at no charge which I installed and now its working perfectly.
Openbuilds have to be commended not only for their speedy replacement via Fedex but also for their no hastle replacement.
I would like to give a very big thank you to the team at Openbuilds, you guys are the best people to deal with.
