Purchased a openbuild 1510 system with blackbox controller.
Installed software on my PC, worked.
    Adjusted travel in x,y,z worked.
    Jogged miller in X,Y & Z worked
    Milled the wasteboard, worked.

    Made a drawing in Briscad
Used ABViewer_14 to convert to G file, no error messages
Used OpenBuild software to open and view it, worked no error messages
    Pushed "start project", NOTHING happens

There are several problems with that file.

First line '%' shouldnt be there. Control will ignore it for you, but in general it shouldnt be there.

Second line comment is too long. This is where your program is hanging up.

So, after removing the first two lines, code runs but hits your next problem which is on line 9 (line 7 after deleting first two lines). Error 20 "unsupported" g-code. M6 isnt a valid code for grbl. And you actually dont need the Tool callout so might as well delete that entire line.

    Runs fine after those edits.

Get a better post processor. One that actually supports grbl.

SHARMSTR, thanks for the advice, i used ABViewer14 to convert dxf to G, file. For some reason it is a very slow process, i can see the each holes is first performed at 3 holes and the a circular cut . On top of that the router cuts the on the outside of the panel holes
Can you recomend a code converter that makes it better.

    regards Paul

If its a dxf file with closed vectors, try OpenBuilds CAM: OpenBuilds CAM Gcode Creator - Public Beta

If not, I'm sure there are other free CAM programs out there, But I'm not very familiar with them. I use Vectric's VCarve Desktop and Fusion 360.

    Thanks Peter,
I came a step forward, having the drawing cleaned op so there is only polylines in the drawing.
Run CAM processing on Openbuild as proposed, strange it will not accept tool milling on indside , but accept laser cutting from inside
milling inside gives no data in G code other than setup, laser or plotter generates G code

    Any sugestions
    Regards paul

Export and attach the workspace OBC file if you'd like us to check stuff, so we can also check what toolpaths you created, parameters entered etc - from the file menu. DXF on its own, doesn't show us what you may
    be doing? :)

If a narrow laser beam fits, are you sure your endmill is small enough to get into the space? It might be that you have a tool thats physically too large to fit inside? CAM only calculates moves where it can safely move.

If its not that guess, include the OBC file
