    Good morning:

    I thought I saw a post recently about how to do calibration with the INTERFACE or CONTROL recently. However, I've tried doing several searches of the forums and haven't found it yet.

    Am I just imagining this or can someone share a link with me to the article? I'd really appreciate it. I have an X-axis offset that I'm troubleshooting and I wanted to do a full machine calibration.

    Thanks, guys! Both answers helped, especially the video link, Peter, as that was what I remembered but couldn't find.

    In calibrating, I found that all axis were off by 1mm, weirdly. Checked my ruler with my micrometer and found that the ruler was actually pretty good, so it was a true 1mm off in all axis.

    I also found a disparity in the two Y rails of about 2 mm after all my running. I reviewed the wheel tension and reset them all, as I found some had gotten too tight (?). Checked the system for play and found nothing appreciable.

    Post-calibration checked all axis and found them on target and repeatable. I will re-run a version of the program I ran yesterday to correct some issues with edge clearances and see if the X/Y axis steps repeat. The Z-axis is not critical per se on this cut, but I did have issues with not completely cutting through. This may help.

    I also question my use of the brush-type dust shoe. I got one with 3" bristles instead of 2.5" bristles. My prior worry had been movement of the workpiece, but that does not seem to have happened. However, I am now concerned that it may be affecting the Y-axis offset via added friction/bristle binding on reversal.

    Always a continuous challenge to make sure all of the subtle details have been addressed even for simple cuts. Such is the path.
