Usage and Care of Power Supply

Hello all,

Currently, I leave the power supply on at all times, along with the black box. Is this a big fail on my part, or can these items be left on even if they're not in use for an extended 24 hour period? Likewise is there a length of time the power supplies should be given a rest after?

Is there any general care instructions required for either of these two items, other than try and keep them in a low dust environment?
