There are a total of 16 of the M5x27 screws used, eight on each side of the Y-axis. They are used for the wheels that ride in the inside of the C-channel. They are created by grinding 30 mm screws to length.

This may have been built prior to the 27mm screws being added to the store.

The BOM lists 20 M5x30, so I think you still need 4 of them at 30 mm.

I think you are correct. The 27mm screws were not available when I built mine.

Really??? Did you try to google it? I tried the term '40t pulley' and got hundreds of options, many of them in Canada where I am.

Hi all hope everyone is doing well.

I am at the finish line but have one last (hopefully) hurdle to overcome.

I have a 20t gt3 and a 40t gt3 pulley, however I have just tried to put the belt on and the belt is way too small, even with the motor backed as far as it can go (towards the lead screw side) its too tight to even get around both pulleys.

    am I missing something ?

Both should be 20T pulleys. Its an offset kit, not a reduction

Ah got ya. That makes sense.
Although the guide at the start of this post does use a 40t.
I’ll switch it for a 20t and see how I go

Best to follow the Official Build: which matches the Parts bundles: OpenBuilds Sphinx 55 (20" x 20") - this here, was the original build by Kyo. Later refined into the bundle of parts available from the store: OpenBuilds Sphinx 55 (20" x 20")
