Ok so have a curious question about resurfacing aluminum. With the Makita router what resurfacing bit would you use? When I see machinist on YouTube they take a bigger piece of material cut it down to the size they need. So since I have a 8mm collet would I just use a 8mm endmill? Or what's the biggest resurfacing tool I could use with the Makita and aluminum. Everyone's experience with the Makita any end mill or resurfacing tool is appreciated. I am asking because I want to buy the biggest and most reasonable tool for the job but don't know where to start. Thanks!

The bigger the bit the faster the router is going to be flinging it around. I'd probably just stuff a 1/4" bit in there and work with that.
