    Hi All,

I have stepper motors from other projects that I want to use on an OX 1500x1000 build.

    I have 3 of these:
    NEMA23 185oz/in 3A Stepper Motor (KL23H256-21-8B)

    and 3 of these:
    NEMA23 425oz/in 2.8A Stepper Motor (KL23H286-20-8B)

Does anyone have a recommendation as to which motors to use on which axis? They are all above spec for what is recommended in the parts list so I'm wondering if it matters. Not sure what router I'm going to use just yet so I don't know if that comes into play.

I have everything ordered except for the 8mm Lead/Acme Nut Block. The parts store is out of stock. Is there a US-based alternative source or part that would work? Or should I just be patient until they get them back in stock? I am hoping to get this mostly assembled while my son is out of school for Christmas break so he can help and learn.

    Thanks!

Bigger is most always better in my book, go with the more powerful steppers for the X and Y and one of the less for the Z. As for the lead nut, they're on Ebay from time to time. I have one I can send you, I bought an adjustable one from Robocutters over in the UK and picked up a standard one while ordering. I installed the standard and have used it for maybe a few hours of cut time (broke in), I need to break down my Z for some upgrades anyway so let me know if you would like it.

Thanks for the advice! I'll use the 425s on the X & Y.

I'd be interested in the lead nut if you are up for breaking down your Z. Don't go to any extra effort though. I've got a lot of bits and pieces to work on so they may be back in stock before I get too desperate:) PM me a price for it plus shipping.
