    Hello all,

I'm writing in this forum because I have huge problems with Ooznest and I don't know how to solve this. I've purchased a screw driven CNC from them in December 2019 and till this moment the machine didn't routed not even 1 inch.

Please, is there anybody kind enough to lose a few moments and take a look at some pics and tell me what can be wrong?

    Thank you!

    Best regards,

    Liviu!

Did you solve the problems with your Z limit switch? Did you get the machine to home? If you want me to approach Ooznest on your behalf I would be happy to do that, but need an update on what problems you are having, and what solutions Ooznest have suggested.

    Hello all.

Sorry for the delay. I've been off for a while due some personal problems. I've received the replacement parts from Ooznest, the machine is assembled, but I haven't decided to try it again because I'm struggling to communicate with the provider that told me I will lose my warranty if the build is not correct and I will damage the parts. This CNC made my life miserable. We've spent somewhere around £1800 January 2020 on it, and it is in the same state like then. I am ready to pay for consultancy if needed, just to get this over with.

    Appendix:

As an example, I've seen over Youtube multiple videos where the Lead Screw Bearings are fixed inside the End plates on each AXIS ( sorry if repeating myself, the model is a screwdriven one ). After I've finished assembling it and sent the photos to Ooznest they told me that they need to be outside the plates.

PS: I can send pictures from the begging to the actual state.

    Regards,

    Liviu Lita

What version is this machine? - 2.2 or 2.3
Ooznest support is usually superb, so I am surprised you are having problems with them. As I said above, I'm happy to approach Ooznest on your behalf, but I need to know the exact nature of the problem - let me know what version of the machine you have and I'll provide the link to the build instructions.
You almost certainly do have to put the bearings on the outside of the plates on the Y and X axes if you purchased the machine in December 2019.

    Hello sir,

I'm ashamed to say this, but I've checked over the invoice and I cannot find any specific details regarding the version and I'm not near the build at this moment. I don't know if it helps but it was quoted in April 2020. I can attach a short clip with the old behaviour of the machine

It will be a version 2.2 machine - there are subtle differences between the version 2.2.1 and the 2.2, but they are unlikely to matter - the instructions are in the link below - please tell me what stage you got to. Is this still the problem with the Z axis switch?

I've followed the instructions as close as I could. The last error that I've got was an homing error. I remember that I've asked Ryan to help me trough Skype and since that moment our relations became very tense. In this moment I don't know exactly what is the state of the machine because Ooznest told me that I will lose my warranty. I've modified the build as they have asked, even if some requests were ridiculous and now I am struggling to have an answer form them for a while but they don't answer the emails.
