Lead 1515 build with NEMA24 steppers/Encoders

    Hi
    Just got to step 11 of the video build tutorial and I've run into a small problem already.
    I had ordered NEMA24 w/ encoders for all axises. Problem now is that when I mount the stepper (Z axis) to the C-Beam end cap, the shaft of the stepper and the lead screw are off center by 4mm
    Is there an alternative method of attaching a slightly lager stepper?

    I did search for Lead 1515 with NEMA24 but couldn't find anything
    Any help would be appreciated

    If you really got a NEMA 24 stepper than I think that's the problem since the kit is designed for the NEMA 23 steppers. You may have to make an adaptor of some sort, unfortunately.

    So I guess the question really was, are there an adapters already designed? or has anyone done this in the past

    If not, I'll draw something up and prototype in on my 3D printer make sure everything fits before having the plates machined.
    I'll post drawing for anyone interested

    Alfred, if you have a 3d printer just print the adapter. Print it with 100% infill and you'll be surprised how well it will work. No need to machine one out of aluminum, unless you make it only 1/4" thick or less. I made mine 2cm thick and they work like a charm but they are not for the 1515 but for my home build CNC.

    Started on design last night, Looking at printing using Form2 SLA instead of FDM @12mm thick for the part.
