I have a new LEAD 1010, I have double checked the wires on both ends of the motor, when I jog to the Z neg, the motor goes up, the z positive the motor goes down, In the homing Oper., the z axis ( without the router mounted) hits the spoil board,,I am lost. please help,, So I went and looked a the Grbl setting for the Lead 1010, I found the Z axis was inverted I changed it, and homed the the machine once successfully ,, re jogged and it went back to the inverted spot?

Grbl settings > Scroll down to Direction Invert, and flip the switch for Z.

Do yourself a favour and have a read through the Grbl wiki gnea/grbl in particular explains all the settings and is a great help in understanding Grbl

Make it jog right first. Then you can setup homing directions (refer to wiki)
For very beginners, leave homing for now, it just adds complication. Get to know the basics before bothering with homing, coordinate systems, etc

The x and y axis function as described in the set up video. Are you telling me to jog the X axis to the right ?.

Nope, make it jog right as in Correct as in how it should be. All axes in their correct directions (flip direction switches on any that does not). Making it follow cartesian standards first, then if it homes in the wrong direction, address that using the Homing Direction Invert setting.
