I can install the appimage for SLED (SuSE Linux). All seems ok, I get connected to blackbox 4x. All seems ok, but unable to save configuration file to blackbox or flash blackbox. I've tried it on my IMac and all works great, but I do not want to run my IMac in the shop. I would try it on another distro, but Im limited to use OpenSuSE or SuSE. Im no Ubuntu guy or debian. Windows has been gone from my life since Win98. Does flashing save the config file to blackbox or is that comes from attached computer everytime you run control?
Grbl settings are stored on the controller (eeprom, on Grbl) When you say it doesnt save, what do you mean by that? Error message? or what exactly does/does not happen
When you change setting for grbl the save button is greyed out, and will not let you save the file. And when you try to flash the device it just hangs.
Oh and don't just reflash willy nilly for the fun of it, you'll brick your controller. Flash if you really need to change the firmware, or someday if we add updates etc.
Well now that I had it working on my IMac, its working now on my SuSE machine. Well go figure!!! Thanks for all the help. I looked at logs I was getting ftdi_sio ttyUSB0 urb stopped -32 GTK IS REVEALER failed, error from flowcontrol urb. but all working now. I am ready to start cutting... thank again for all the hard work.
