    Hi there

    Newbie question

Looking for some genuine advice and comments on the above CNC please, whether its any good, what its capable of, is it just hobby or possible small business.

I moving from a small desktop A3 size cnc to a larger one and am looking to do signage, panels, young kids toys (wife is an early years teacher for special needs) basically the idea is to use it at least 3 days a week and I am looking for a machine thats robust and can take that sort of use without breaking the bank finance wize as most of my stuff will be free for my wife!

The signs I will be making for boats as I live in a area where there are an awful lot of small wooden fishing boats etc. Hope to recover the cost from them and house names as well. part of where I live in the Med.

Woods will be marine teak, oak, and some african hardwoods and high density plywood probably marine grade, no MDF, no Alloys at all. just good old wood!

Just looking for advice about whether this is good enough etc, all comments welcome please, many thanks also not sure if there are any videos anywhere of this machine in action, I am new to "open builds". My background is powerful Diode Laser CNC cutting and engraving and A3 GRBL CNC machines.

Have you considered the LEAD1010 perhaps? LEAD CNC 1010 (40" x 40") its the newer bundle of the lot, and
    - a lot more customisable
    - easier maintenance as its all off-the-shelf modular parts (no custom plated needed)
    - future proof with upgrade options (for example High Z Mod for Lead CNC )

The LEAD1010 will keep up with small-business use all day long!

I have been offered a incredible deal on a Workbee 1050 from Vslot Europe all ready to go, could I please ask what is your opinion on this model if you have one? I have seen some videos of what the machine can do with Wood, Aluminium and Acrylic and it looks an outstanding machine with lead screws which is what i want for precision. I am wheelchair boundso the 50/100 is the best option for me otherwise its too big to use from a chair.

Where will the machine be put in the room? I suggest putting the machine in the center of the room (think kitchen island) so that you can around the machine. The table should be low enough so that you can reach the center of the machine from the wheelchair.

    thank you, yes, i have
I have been thinking about that thank you, luckily my workshop is in the house and in a largish room say 4.5 mts by 6mts so I have plenty of space to get around, I have a small desk in there as well and my A3 gantry for my 10 watt Endurance Laser is on that but I will probably move that onto the new cnc as then I can cut and burn at the same time on a design I am hoping. thanks for the advice.

Thank you yes, I have read the comments and am somewhat concerned now so I have found another company in Denmark that can help which is Makersupplies.dk and they seem very nice people and respond very quickly.

I don't want to go down the UK route simply as I am in Spain and although English I am concerned with Brexit and any problems that might cause in the future getting pieces once the uk leaves Europe, I know Ooznest has an an incredible reputation but I don't want any problems with customs etc later on. With Spain being the way it is with Red Tape and bureaucracy its a guaranteed cert there will be issues once the UK leaves europe. Its bad enough now. Thanks.

    Peter,
Newbie here. I attempted to place an order based on the Black Friday deal (free shipping + free blackbox). Shipping cost was added for FedEx Ground. Please advise before I checkout.
