    Hi
Had a look on YouTube, but couldn't find anything related to the above question so I've come here where I bought the Xpro from several years ago. All the kit was boxed up as my heart wasn't working as it was supposed to and couldn't get a lot of stuff done at that time. Anyway now all set up and ready to roll once the newly ordered shed arrives.

Because the shed is about 25ft away from the computer (Its an HP desktop in my sitting room) and I don't fancy shifting it out to accompany the CNC router in the shed. I was hoping someone could explain about the 'Bluetooth Module' that fits onto the Xpro board. How it connects to the board and can you send the same commands from GRBL as you would with a 'Data' cable.

I've got a cable that will just reach the CNC, but in a straight line from my back window. I'd have to detach it every time I finished of an evening and set it up again the following day. I read somewhere you can't have a Data cable longer than 15ft as it diminishes the signal if its longer. (It wasn't on this forum).

I'd be grateful for any info concerning this module and how its set up to work as well, please.

    Thanks a lot.

Bluetooth over that distance is probably going to lead to corrupted serial data. Its really more of a short distance thing. Gcode streaming is quite a lot of data, and if the link is not reliable its just a runaway machine :)

That said, read all about it here Setting up the Bluetooth Link

    Thank's Peter
It turns out that the shed won't fit in the place I had earmarked for it so the distance from the computer is another 12ft added to what it was originally. I might drag the desktop computer out there and use the laptop in its place. There are a few possibilities to look at. That was a good link with plenty of info.

The other thing that surprised me was the price at £98.00, a lot of money for a bit of Bluetooth.

    Anyway thanks again.
