Hi Dakota, the forum is a great place to get help if you need it for your OX. Most of the parts came from OpenBuilds so please reach out if you have any issues and we can work together to find a solution!

    Hi Dakota,

Thanks for your YouTube videos. We bought the same kit as you 1500 x 1500, all in one controller, and the laser add on. We ordered on December 31 and it arrived by the third week of January. We got super busy and are just at the wiring phase of the build. Unfortunately Hobby Fab is no more (no website for references) and Google Plus is gone too.

So, a couple of questions regarding the wiring:
    1. Your video did not show the final connections but It looks like you were working from the motors back to the controller box. How did you get the pre-terminated wires through the cable chain along the Y-Axis?
    2. The instructions say to connect the red ACC connection from the all-in-on to the 0-10V connection on the power supply and the green ACC to the GRN connection on the power supply. I have no GRN connection on the power supply. Should GRN be GRD? I am thinking it is a typo in the instructions.
Also, I am not understanding how the 600W spindle power supply gets the required 110v AC power based on the instructions. How did you connect this power supply?

We are trying hard not to inadvertently destroy something. Thanks again for your videos!

I did a make **** for my wires and the y axis. I can put up a video on how the final wiring looked if you want? For the red ACC wire, you are correct on the 0-10v. Green goes to the GND. And then you need to connect the toggle switch or do like I did and just made a small jumper connecting the EN and the other GND together.

Thanks so much! The photo is a big help. We some how missed the reference to the AC connection in the instructions but based on your picture now understand to connect the AC "pigtail" for power input.
Not quite sure what you mean by "****" though.

Did you buy CamBam software through HobbyFa?. It says it is in shipment 3 but we haven't seen any software.

I said make shift.. and it must have thought I swore. Lol. That’s sh i ft.
I did not go with cambam, instead I bought Vcarve Pro. I believe Hobby Fab told me that CamBam was no longer supported by them and they couldn’t offer it.

Hi Dakota, I just wanted to thank you for all of your help. Wiring was a bear! But it is done and the spoil board is in place. Guess it is time for the next phase...actually running it. Thanks again!

We can't find any sign of CamBam in what was sent. Things were crazy here so we didn't unpack fully until after they went under. If we ever do this again, we will be better prepared!

    Hi Shirley,
Did you guys buy the all in one controller? That has the raspberry pi with bcnc installed when you purchased your machine from hobby fab?

have you ever had your all in one controller open?
I had to re load the files onto the raspberry pi and when I opened up all in one control box.. I found I had two loose wires and I have no idea where they go now.
They are the black and white wires coming from a relay, they have a white connector and I'm guessing they either connect into a housing labled -5v+ or laser.
Once I get that figured out..I then need to figure out how to get my machine to read from the new micro sd card I had bcnc installed onto.

Sucks that Hobby-Fab is under, no support line. grrrr

In Facebook there is a Smw3D and Hobby-Fab CNC Routers group. On April 25 a guy named Peter O'Connor had an issue with loose wires and had help from a few folks. I don't know if you have a Facebook account, but if you do ask to join the group and take a peek. The group users are SUPER helpful and have a good idea of what they are talking about. I would ask my husband to take ours apart for you but he is so busy with work and removing a tree that toppled over while we were on vacation that he isn't even able to get to a project for my job I need help with. If you can't get in the group I can try a screen shots. Let me know if you need for me to do that.
