Hey guys one VERY important thing to keep in mind while milling aluminum is to keep the chips away from the vwheels as much as possible. I have done some light milling and had no problems but recently I milled a bunch of 1/2" aluminum plates and my entire machine was covered in chips. I attempted to brush & vaccum them away from the wheel tracks but sadly I ruined some of the wheels. :-(

The chips became embedded in the wheels themselves. I use an air blast system to clear chips from the cut so a pemanent vac system that doesn't interfere with this would be necessary.

Loc Line makes some pretty good looking vaccum systems that may not interfere...

These are not my sensors, I just designed some mounts to use on my CNC. Im not into selling these either. If you don't have a 3d printer I would check out Shapeways.com, you can upload the files and pick the material.
