Hi there, are there specs somewhere of all the plates available on the OpenBuilds store? I was hoping to save some $$ and get my friend to CNC cut all the plates I need. He is asking for the DXF files from me to be able to do this.

Can't specifically point to DXF files but several other formats are available.... OpenBuilds Parts | OpenBuilds. You might check with him to see if any are workable.

many cad programs can open IGS files, and there are many IGS to DWG converters out there as well.

Thanks Gary, if need be I will simply import to Fusion 360, or just stop being lazy and open my Solidworks.

I find it hard to believe that the plates could actually be made for less than what OpenBuilds sells them for.

When you add postage on the plates to Australia out adds up very quickly. I have 4 off cuts of alloy and a friend with a commercial cnc mill. So I have to take that into consideration that I will help him with his website and he will cut all my parts.

Fabricating them in Australia rather than purchasing and shipping from the USA is more cost effective. That makes sense. I didn't catch that..
