I am receiving errors when trying to post in Fusion 360. I installed the latest update to fusion 360 and also did the latest update to the post processor. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I see on the post processor site that they are working on a new version to fix this issue, I just fail to see where to grab it from. please send me your Fsuion360 drawing file so I can debug this. never mind, looks like the recent changes messed with the 'alert' method, I will fix that but meantime.... instant fix is for you to actually select a WCS in the setup|postprocess tab as the warning indicates. right click the setup select 'edit' select 'post process' tab, on the right set 'WCS Offset' to 1 right click the edit box select 'save as user default' now this setup is set to use G54 AND future setups should default to use it as well
OK, was getting that error and the fix, for that one, but also getting this error. Guess it doesn't mean anything really but it's annoying to always have the error and checking.. is there something I'm doing wrong or something I can fix myself? I can't find any explanation for the error or what it actually means (other than the obvious something to do with Power LOL)
Are you running V1.42 of the Post Processor? OpenBuilds-Fusion360-Postprocessor/OpenbuildsFusion360PostGrbl.cps at 454321c0e50386b947b14ab6eca6dd10cd031b54 · OpenBuilds/OpenBuilds-Fusion360-Postprocessor
probably not as I haven't updated anything in like 6 months and that says it's 2 weeks old.. sooo.. update time! now I got to remember how to do it LOL. Thanks!!!!
you need to upgrade your postprocessor, the recent Fusion360 upgrade broke the 'power' variable usage.
yea... is there a simple "copy - paste" method of that text file? I went to download and do the whole install but that file says its like from 2023, the linked file above is all text off GitHub... I did a search but just got so many off topic links I just go more confused... demo/instructions or something easy? LOL.
docs:software:fusion360 [OpenBuilds Documentation] Same as when you initially installed it The big green download button grabs the ZIP for you, and inside you'll find the file to upload per instructions
oh crap. I forgot about that page... been so long since I did any of this!! I just used it without thinking for so long! thanks guys!!!
