When setting up a drawing in Cam. How to set up for a inside cut and then the outside cut of the tab in the attachment.

Select the inside cut, add it to a toolpath, set that as an inside cut. Select the outside, add it to another toolpath, set as outside

I did that. However, when I run the simulation it cuts the outside first instead of the inside first.

I think @Peter Van Der Walt is suggesting that you create two separate toolpaths.

Correct. YOU the operator are in control at all times. It does what you tell it to do. If you put your INSIDE cut above your OUTSIDE cut (and make sure they are seperated, after all they are seperate operations) - then it will just follow that...

Create seperate Toolpaths, if you still get them wrong way round - or mixed up - use the Sort buttons to fix the order

Start off with the EXAMPLES under the File > "Open Hello World Workspace" menu to see an example of how it should be done, then compare to how you have it

    _______________________________________

That said, lets see your file above... Just in case...

    1) Opened your file

    2) First thing I noticed, was the incorrect positioning, so I fixed that with the Transform toolset > position option (putting it at 0,0)

    3) Much better position now:

    4) Next up, though, bigger problem. This isnt a "cuttable" outline - double lined, weird crossing vectors, etc

Before you can CAM properly, you got to learn to CAD in ways that are machine friendly. Single closed paths. See docs:software:file-errors [OpenBuilds Documentation]

I can't continue to use your file for the Demonstration, because it contains broken vectors...

So first double back and sort that out...

But from here, it would be a matter of adding the outside vector to a new toolpath using the Add > button (Turns green when you select a vector) and selecting the two slots together for a 2nd toolpath. One set as inside, on as outside. Pretty simple, but your root cause is bad CAD.
