I just built the ACRO system and just noticed that when the machine is on and not moving, one Y motor is locked while the other isn't. I am guessing they should both be locked. What might be the problem or is this normal?

Otherwise, all seems to be working.

Just tried both of these things.

    1) Doesn't seem to be overheating. The exclamation isn't lit. And I have turned the current all the way down. However, I ran the current way too high for awhile since I have no idea what I am doing, could this have damaged something?

    2) I tightened everything and double checked. I think it is all good--but again I don't really know what I am doing so this could be it still. I used a multimeter on the wires and the blue/green have a connection to each other and when I use either the yellow or red with the negative, every single other wire beeps...out of my depths, not sure if this is normal but seems like it isn't?

One thing I noticed is that in the diagram for NEMA17 motors all the wires are in order. In the NEMA23 they have the reversed Y order. I assembled system watching the Youtube video and reversed the colors on the Y2 motor. I did however switch it back to the unreversed order just to check and that still didn't solve the problem. But could this be the issue?

Are you sure the grubscrews on the pulley is tight? Perhaps the pulley is spinning, but the motor is locked after all?

Grubscrews was the answer! Thanks for thinking of this :)

Also not shocking but the accuracy of my machine which I was thinking was primarily the pen holder is greatly improved with fixing that. Amazing how much a tiny screw can do or undo.
