Hi, just got a new acro, had some problems with motor power, but managed to sort that issue out. However, having a very weird issue with Y axis movement...

So when I fired the machine up, the Y axis motors were moving in opposite directions. No problem, I took the Y Dir jumper off, but now, they move in the same direction if I press the Y+ in the OB's control interface, but oppositely again if I go Y-? This makes no sense to me at all. I have even tried the invert Y axis in the grbl settings, still the same thing?

Any help is greatly appreciated as I have no working machine until I can figure out what heck is going on here :)

No, jumper has to be in place: See docs:blackbox:jumper-slaveaxis [OpenBuilds Documentation]

If one motor is going the opposite way of its paired motor, its wiring of the motor itself - swop the wiring around (1-2-3-4 become 4-3-2-1) to correct. See the Acro wiring video for details

Hi Peter, OK I will try that, but I'm not sure how that explains why it syncs in one direction but not the other?

Because you removed the jumper - now its not getting any direction signal. So it has no idea when to reverse. Put the jumper back. Then fix the motor wiring :)
