Hi Guys, Up until 1 month ago I hadn't touched a CNC let alone designed a product and produced it on CNC, so its been a very step learning curve! Attached is one of the first designs cut on my hybrid Openbuilds machine, a clamp down system. So my suggestions for the site, in no particular order; Is there a cheat sheet for openbuilds macros ( searched forums but can't find a single place, I guess what are the best and most commonly used macros or most helpful, maybe even pre-program some into the software, so when users open macros sections there are some there? ) I know there are the std homing options to workpiece etc in the main DRO, but they home the the exact workpiece location, homing to X&Y but say 10mm above would be handy as a example Can the openbuilds control software release show dates against the release versions. Also can we have a subscribe option on software updates, so we know when a release has been made, in the month I been learning I think there have been 5 releases, I didn't release they were so often. I've raised a number of conversations which maybe could have been avoided if I knew there was a software update, its not s criticism, I only thinking of saving the time of the tech guys. Is there a top tips/things newbies should/need to know section? I know this site isn't a school to teach us the very basic but a "new to openbuilds control" section may be very handy, and save a lot of time dealing with repeat questions/issues etc In the openbuild control, is there the option for more than 2 pre-saved XY positions Regards Chris

Gcode macros take plain gcode. See the list Grbl supports on github.com/gnea/grbl/wiki The reason we don't really do, is you always want the latest, regardless of date CONTROL does check and update itself. If its not checking, do a clean install and check that CONTROL has internet access. Next to GOTOZERO is a button with "layers" icon with shortcuts to G28/G30 positions you can use. It's XYZ though so maybe store your XY position at some arbitrary safe Z height
