Robert, any chance I can talk you into dropping a copy of the .skp file for the 17-23 Z plate into the files section? Thank you.

Well all wired up, but and there always seems to be one :)
I can't seem to get mach3 setup using the pinter port on my rebuilt rack sever I had planed on using/mounting in the base of my OX
    image.jpg
    It really has me :banghead:
With my last setup I used a PCI card and things went a lot smoother

    And it's alive!
Lol always the little things
Here I sit telling all about proper grounding and that was my issue :p
I failed to run one ground wire that in turn was causing a voltage difference in the step/dir signals.
Instead of sitting high at 5vdc they where -7.35

That signalled me to check my wiring again :brb:

Time to configure the micro step setting in my drivers do some calculations and then it's motor tuning time in Mach3 :D

Here it is moving really well :D
In the clip I'm simply jogging it around :)

I have a little more fine tuning but I think I have the main issues I had all sorted

    Haha Ty bud! :D
That was it with no motor tuning ;)

Here is a clip after motor tuning in Mach, I will fine tune ipm when I have the bed in place and new end stops, I went with the 4mm sensor type

I don't know though. I think I would find that QUIET buzz annoying after a while. :duh:
Sounds like you're running Nema 1.5's on batteries there. :D

****! That's an awful high bar to aim for. :nailbite:

That buzzing is do to electrical interference.
Things will sound better after I get it properly installed in a box and proper wiring ;)
When the spindle fires I don't think I'm going to be worried about the sound lol

It is clarity-quad 4 delco wire
    Part number # 69040/2

It is used for high quality stage mic's
It has great shielding properties and star breaded for low noise :)
Comes in 4 and 6 conductor
I lucked out on a half roll through my local surplus store
Same kind of stuff cncrouterparts makes their cables from ;)

    Robert,

I am starting to build my OX virtually in sketchup to be sure I have every thing I need and reduce the number of surprises during my build.

Can you update the resource file with the items in your latest kits? Mainly the Z Axis plates are missing.

Thanks again for the hardware, it looks great.

    I am :)
Ty on a positive my parts arrived for the completion of my OX, I will just hide in my workshop with the smell of fresh v-slot being cut to size and some test parts fizzing away in the anodizing test rigs

Sometimes my hobby is the only escape
