Hi. I'm trying to figure out if pausing job via" pause job" should retract bit from material and turn off spindle and reverse this when "resume job" is clicked. as of now pushing pause just stops the file. spindle just keeps spinning in material until I hit resume. have searched this topic and not found the info I need. Any help greatly appreciated Thanks
Nope, Its how grbl works internally. See gnea/grbl scroll down to "! Feedhold" The action you refers to is not part of "pause" (never will be) but is part of the Door interlock switch - its called Parking. See gnea/grbl so consider adding an Enclosures - OpenBuilds Part Store around the machine and then wiring a docs:blackbox:connect-door-sensor [OpenBuilds Documentation]
