    Hello Folks,
I've got an Open Builds router with a "Openbuilds" V3 circuit board which I think preceeds the Black Box. I'm running an old Windows 7 laptop which I also use with my Plasmacam CNC machine. The computer and the USB ports work. What isn't working is the communication to the Openbuilds board. The computer will make the standard windows sound when I plug and unplug the cable but the Control software says "Waiting for USB" and nothing else.I've tried every USB port. I'm trying to reflash the board but need it to communicate first. Am I missing something like a driver - or something. I have no documentation for this other than the prior owner says it worked but it was running a combination of GRBL and Ardunio because the guy who set this up for the prior owner knew more about Ardunio. Is there any documentation or a step by step somewhere? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. Lyle Landstrom

Did you install the drivers? Reboot your computer.

OK, doing a little snooping around brings me here: Virtual COM Port Drivers But where exactly do I download the driver and is it the VirtualCOM driver or the VCP driver?

Ok, I must be missing something really simple but that page confuses me even more as it's a bunch of information about 3 different types of drivers what what's supported and what's not.
