Ty my friend, as per our conversation on Facebook I think I can swing the custom heat bed for our Deltas and believe 250mm would be the perfect fit :)

Got any Yaxis end plates laying around with your belt attacment system on them? I gotta take mine apart, and think they might work better than the T-nut attachment system

Yes I do my friend, they need a light sanding and belt clips milled, I have kit I'm finishing up that someone backed out of due to financial issues so I will mill the clips tomorrow and pack them up while I finish the kit

I have bin real busy tweaking my OX AI files and working on my Delta.
    Finished up the files
    "fully compatable with OB parts"
I will be putting them in order and tagging them as version 1.2 for future reff and posting them in the files section of my build

Here's a pic of what my Delta is looking like, need a few more parts from OB and the Fiber OX will be cutting the cork for my heatbed :)

I got my steppers and 20x40 V-slot yesterday. Are you milling carriage plates for the 20x40? I am starting to print part today and am starting with the carriage template and vertices. We are going magnetic counterbored pucks with ball bearing ended rods.

What is the size of your Delta frame?

Yes me and dddman are working together on a version of the Delta 6 build.
My horizontal 20x40 is 300mm long, Vertical are 680mm leaving 600mm between vertex
I designed carriage plates to match the plastic parts, tested and made adjustments in turn dddman adjusted the printed parts.
The end result is this :)

I must say dddman has got some printing skills

I agree. He does have skills. I need to modify the Infill3d magnetic carriage files to match that size carrier plate.

We are going a very similar direction, but I really like the movement of the BerryBot. I figure I will start with the harder one, and can always come back to bolt-ons. Let me know if you are selling those carriage plates. I have the wheels and everything else in stock.

Very slick! I thought about something like this with a ledge over the edge just a smidge. Then puttin a slitted cover over the top slott
that would fold away as the carriage passed by it. As it passed, it would fold back down. Blocking the dust while down, pushing it away while folding back as the gantry went by.

I read every post tonight, it was awesome to see a side business grow, so quickly. It really shows when a true artist and craftsmen produces something special customers buy from all over the world.

I love the work you have produced. I'm a newbie here but started my inspired Robert aluminum OX build. Thank you Mark for such a wonderful design and forum.

    Thank you for the inspiration...

Both sides done and wow what a difference in the way the wheels run.
Having the inside support really helps keep the wheels squared in the v-slot

Looks great Robert. Are you going to post the acrylic shield/brace files? I sure would like to take a stab at cutting some when my OX is up and running. Thanks to you and everyone for the great additions to the original OX.

    Hi Robert.

I'm interested to hear these help to stabilise the wheels. Would you make that a standard fixture now? They look good, but your stuff always does!!

Do you think if, from the top, to say 20mm below the wheels, it were to protrude each way along the "Y", almost forming a "T", and allowing it to ride over the end support aluminium strips at each end, it would give even greater protection to the belt from the dust etc?

    Just a thought.

Or something like the attached, just a quick creation in Sketchup for demo of idea. This would allow cross pieces to have more support of Y in the middle of the "C". It would not be as strong for the wheel support, but what you lose in support you should make up for in less deflection of Y.

I had been contemplating making something like this that would have horizontal wheels also....

@Robert Hummel , Did you run double Excentrics on each lower wheel?

If so do you need to use two different spanners to shnug them up at the same time?

I do one at a time in small amounts :)

I got some time and made up the terminal / drag chain plate and guard.
It is held in place with 2 - Black 90s
Has two 12 screw terminals and 16mm stand offs where used for mounting the guard :)

O.K! So where do you keep finding this "time"?? :jawdrop:
Have you got a secret place you keep it?? :D
With the amount of stuff you do, you have no right to find any spare time, as far as I'm concerned.
Looks good though, as usual.
