Sorry if this has been asked a bunch of times. I looked through the FAQs and haven’t seen anything. I have an old laptop (2013) with windows 8 and after downloading the control software I can get it to run. I’m wondering if 4GB of RAM is enough.
No real minimum requirement. If you run into issues like sluggishness, crashes, etc, then just do remember the machine is almost 80% of a decade old If you have performance issues you can always disable some CONTROL features from troubleshooting > application diagnostics. 3D viewer is the busiest code, likes a good webgl capable GPU.
Ok, thank you. It just comes up as a blank white screen. I’m guessing I need a newer version of windows or more RAM.
is it possible to disable WEBGL on my windows 7 to run this program? Would it impact the way the software features work if disabled? Or the only way to run it is with windows 10? Thanks for any info in advance. Trying to make a decision if either upgrade or spend a little more on another PC / Laptop. Dave -
It needs WebGL... Disabling WebGL on your computer is the opposite of what you want It can run on 7. If the 3D viewer cannot start and the error states WebGL is unavailable - its usually outdated device drivers (chipset and video card)
