    Hi Folks,

My Black Box controller is not responding to any GCode Commands? I create the GCode in VCarve Desktop. I have a check that the USB is Com3 on my laptop. The Workbee will jog manually to different positions, but when running any GCode, the relay turns on the router, then the machine stands idle with the router running. The code runs on the laptop like it is controlling the Workbee, but the Workbee will not move. Has anyone else had this issue. I have reinstalled the drivers, reinstall the software Black Box Controller Software on my laptop. Rest the BlackBox Controller. Nothing seems to work to fix the problem.

I am at a loss! The Workbee was working fine last week after the XYZ probe started to work. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have included the image of the startup of the controller. Also, I have included the Gcode file that I used last week that cut perfectly but now will not cut at all. Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any chance you have your 24v psu plugged into the IoT relay too

It's not a power strip, but as its there, and conveniently has extra sockets, we have seen people mistakenly plug the 24v PSU into the normally On socket (which is not always on, its just inverted from the normal socket (ON when no signal is received, OFF when a signal is received). Accidentally plugging your 24v PSU into that, will do what you explain, as the router signal turns off that socket, which turns off your 24v PSU and thus the motors does not have power to move

    Good Morning Peter,

You are exactly right. I just tested the machine by removing the 24v PSU for the relay. You are correct, I placed the 24v PSU into the relay in the ON socket, treating it like a power strip.

I removed the 24v PSU from the relay and everything is back to normal. I feel dumb right now. LOL Hopefully, some else will see this post and not do what I just did.

As always you helped me out again. I do not kow what I would do without your help. I appreciate your time and support. Thank you!

Don't feel that way :) It happens often enough that I recognised the symptoms. Its a weird little socket that one, but hey that IoT is actually a flexible bit of kit, though the way we use it, I can't think of anything you'd want to turn OFF on command hehe :)

And you are always more than welcome!
