Hi all,
My name is Peter I run a small luthiers workshop in the Blue Mountains, Australia called Neptunes Guitars. This is my first CNC build and the learning curve has been a challenge to say the least, but have enjoyed the journey as it continues.
My build is a Open build Ox 1200mm x 900mm, Gecko G540 driver, G540 Chiller from Homann Designs, Ethernet Smoothstepper, 48volt Power supply, 5volt Power supply, 2x 48v relays, 4 x Nema 23 269ox Steppers, Delta VFD-M with CMT 1.5kw from GMT Air Cooled CNC Spindle 1.5 kW 220 V S. Proximity NPN sensors for X and Y axis and NC limit switch for Z axis.
I wiring diagram I used is http://www.homanndesigns.com/pdfs/EN010_V8.pdf and added the Smoothstepper to the mix.

Laying out the Control enclosure cut outs.
Plates inspired by Martin of Stainless OX. Cheers mate
These plates are 3mm Stainless if I had to re order the Plates I would go for 4mm Stainless as I find the 3mm stainless is not stiff enough and when I redesign my Z axis I will be going for 4mm. The main place is the flex I get forward to back on X,Z plate. Might try and make a full length wheel supports on the 8 wheels on front of Z plate.

Neptunes Ox
Build in 'X/Y Table Style CNC Mill' published by Neptunes Guitars, Jul 3, 2016.
First build of CNC OX for the purpose of using it for Guitar building to take a lot of the muscle work out so I can concentrate on the finer details.
