External high power DC N-MOSFET for switching High current heatbeds or other High power applications. The gate has a JST plug and the main terminals accept 10-24ga wire.

This MOSFET includes a highly efficient heat sink which means no fan should be needed.

The case has hole pattern for the 60mm Vslots.

      Specs:
      Rev 3
      Can handle 60V, 30A
Rds max (in-line resistance through MOSFET) =3.1mOhm
Gate threshold voltage (minimum voltage at gate to fully turn on) = 2.2V
      Maximum gate voltage = 20V
      Size: 74 x 30 x 26mm (L x W x H)

A similar model has been made and running a 8" 12v, 15A silicone heater (http://store.quintessentialuniversalbuildingdevice.com/product.php?id_product=61) doesn't cause this to heat up at all. It's cool to the touch.

      UPDATE 1/21/15:
I've got the first boards built and tested. All is working well. running 12V 20A load caused heat sink to rise to 55C without fans. See below pictures. photo 1.JPG photo 4.JPG photo 3.JPG photo 2.JPG

    Reason for this Build

I'm using a 300mm silicone heatbed (http://store.quintessentialuniversalbuildingdevice.com/product.php?id_product=29) at 12V, 20A pushing the limits of the Smoothieboard.
