So, I have two wiring questions perhaps some of you can answer.

I bought these DB25 breakout boards with the idea of running all the stepper wiring and limit switch wiring to the breakout and then using a DB25 cable to attach to my electronics enclosure. It works perfect. 4 per motor, 4 motors, 8 switches and a common for them.

I'm having second thoughts about this setup and wondering if the the wires inside the DB25 cable are able to handle the current for the stepper motors.

The other question is about stepper wire length for the X axis. Since it uses two motors in sync on the X axis, should I make the wire length identical for them or will a 600mm length make a difference? (I know, probably over-thinking things)

On an analog system I would say that it could... but on a [digital] stepper, I highly doubt that it would affect anything.
