    Guys,

Some of the leading innovators and contributors in the OpenSource community, including OpenBuilds own @Anthony Bolgar , Peter van der Walt (@openhardwarecoza ), Brandon Satterfield (SMW3D), Arthur Wolf (RobotSeed), and @Mark Carew have been busy trying to bring to life a super cool web-based Laser/CNC interface for the entire Open Source Community! We believe this will become the new standard in machine control.

Anthony has took it upon himself to build a test rig based off the OX from none other than +
Mark Carew. Mark has graciously donated the V-Slot,v-wheel kits, various brackets and many other components needed to assemble the frame for this project as part of the fair share program at http://www.openbuilds.org . I donated the Ox plates machined from the files that +Brandon Satterfield uses in his Ox kits over at http://www.smw3d.com. +Arthur Wolf graciously donated a smoothie from http://www.robotseed.com (UK)/ http://www.uberclock.com (North America). But this still leaves many other items that Anthony has purchased out of pocket for this project and I'm asking for us as a community to come together once again and pitch in what we can to help ease the blow to Anthony's pocket book please donate what you can. Here is a list of some of the items he has purchased at his expense for this :

    · 2.5W and 6.5W Laser diode with drivers/heatsinks
    · 1.5kw watercooled spindle/VFD drive combo
    · Spindle mount from
    http://www.smw3d.com
    · Waterpump/tank for spindle
    · Grbl board
    · Arduino/Ramps boards
    · TinyG board (Pending support in LaserWeb)
    · Screws, nuts, bolts
    · Wiring, connectors
    · Tubing and valves
    · Switches, E-stop switch, relays
    · PSU for auxillary equipment
    · 445nm laser safe acrylic
    · 1hp dust collector and hoses

I am REALLY looking forward to where LaserWeb is headed! I am doing a Kickstarter to help fund "FairShare" projects so check it out if you would like to fund projects like these as well as get a piece of carbon fiber swag at the same time! :)

I have to say I have been overwhelmed with the generosity of the community at large. It definitely encourages me to do more.

Although I do not have much in the way of spare funds at the moment, I do have a background in software development and testing if such skills are ever needed I would be happy to help in whatever way I can. That being said when I am able to support community projects financially in the future, I want to do so. I just wanted to throw out the offer of assistance on the software side of things if the need ever arises.
