+-110mm if folded double and measured end to end, but the actual circumference is 202mm

    Bom for the controller:

    M4 diode (SMD equivalent of 1N4001) x 10
    0.1uf 50v cap 1206 size x 9
    10K 1206 0.25w Resistor x 10
    1K 1206 0.25w Resistor x 2
    10 Ohm 1206 0.25w Resistor x 4
    3mm LED x 2
    7410 CMOS DIP16 x 1
    7411 CMOS DIP16 x 1
    LM2596-S5 x 1
SS34 Diode for switchmode converter (http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6482989078.html?orderId=65697617864310 or desolder one from one of those ebay buck converters you have lying around) x 1
    220uF 35v SMD caps x 2
    IRLR024 Mosfet DPAK x 1 (or x 4 - 1 compulsary, 3 optional)
    3w 3.81mm terminals (pluggable) x 10
    2w 3.81mm terminals pluggable x 9
Header pin set for Arduino Mega x 1
Male header pins 1 x 40w should be enough
    1 x Arduino Mega

If you are not in too much of a rush - I can make the printed parts - And I 'd love to have one of the bare boards in exchange..

Perhaps flattr is an option you can use. I know it's fairly popular with EU podcasts

I am ordering a small extension box to house the extra length of the 1200mm long 60w tube... Will post pics when it gets back from the laser cutters

Really nice design! We are getting ready to start a laser cutter project- already bought find parts. We are going for small and cheap. Ours will be all metal as well. Tinyg will run it. We are considering putting the laser on the y axis to reduce alignment issues. We will focus on sexy aesthetics too- no offense on your design, but we love rolled corners and hidden screw heads ;)

    Keep up the good work

Hi, I'm trying to get a diagram or schematics of your PCB, but it seems there are not published yet. I'm building a 80w Co2 Laser cutter with a V-slot 1500mm frame for the XY, or maybe I need to read more about the ramps control for laser cutter. Another quick question, what are the hardware and firmware setup used in the video?, that video shows your build moving at 13000mm/min, I mean what type of belt and pulley are used, 1/8 or 1/16 step config, Nema 23 or 17.

Guys - Wondering if these are mostly correct parts?
    Trouble finding the 7410, 7411 CMOS DIP16's?
suitable LED's, What Forward voltage and current is the design call for?

I opted for the screw terminals as I didn't find the plug style (CamdenBoss) at DigiKey...

See me on Google Plus instead for a more up to date recommendation. Smoothieware + LaserWeb far surpasses this year old recommendation

Has anyone made any progress on completing this build? My build has been put on the back burner for the last year and a half due to moving and other things taking priority. I am hoping to get some time over the next month or two to finally make some progress on this.
