0305151052.jpg 0305151051.jpg 0305151052.jpg 0305151051.jpg This is a totally unique system using open v rails and solid poly wheels with ball screws for every axis. I am currently planning on using all nema 34 motors and gecko drivers otherwise that part is still in known. I am working on the solid works models they are sloppy but so far are really giving me a good idea on what I have been doing wrong this is the first version I feel good about letting you all comment/teardown please I want your feedback. The ball screws are fed in between the 80x20 top rail and the 40x20 bottom the gantry mounting plates run on the inside and there are solid plates on the outside. I was thinking of doing 5 wheels per rail top and bottom so 20 wheels perside holding the gantry. Because of the design of the side rails I only need to go up 6 more inches to have a full 8-10 inches of cutting z space. Also width between the rails is about 52 inches so a full 4x4 or 4x8 can be fit. I want to,be able to cut aluminum in the 2-3 inch thickness range but speed isn't an issue accuracy is. :( for rolled ball screws but yea I don't know if a vslot build would really like taking 3000 in c1 ground ball screws so 5 pitch c7 rolled screws will be used.
